at the risk of looking stupid, i am missing something. i have disputed with the CRA who checked with the CA who said it remains. i DV the CA and get proof that they received my DV letter when i get the green card back. i understand to this point.

where i lose the logic is just by the CA receiving my letter, how does this cause my 2nd dispute with the CRA to be any different than the 1st dispute with the CRA?

the 2nd time maybe the CA says remove instead of remains due to the DV letter?

Once you DV the CA, they should mark the TL on your report "in dispute". This should happen within 30 days or so. If it doesn't, then you send a second DV to the CA telling them that they are in clear violation of the FDCPA and they should get off your report...you can also send copies of your 1st and 2nd DV to the CRA...but, the CRAs usually just reply that they depend on the information provided by the TL reporting enitity...
