iviguy
I have been holding out on about 5 OC's, sending DV letters and cease and desist, you know the drill. Well yesterday I checked my credit report online and 2 of those OC's have now listed a status of "Not Listed" and a payment status of "No Status". The payment history is completely gone and the balance is $0 where before there was a combined balance of about $20K. What happened? Is this some glitch? I don't see how it could be since there is also a "Balance Date" that is very recent. This is great news but is it perminent? When they CO it shouldn't wipe your credit out like that. credit-nightmare
I can't see that it would be a glitch , it would seem like a good one OC's don't have to respond to DV letters , so I can't see why just that would change the TL ? These are OC's right not CA's ? If it was a CA they might have just sold it to another CA who will the start reporting , if its a OC ...I don't know , but watch incase they try to reopen it with a different account # or something or start a new listing as a CO. But I never sent anything to these two. Only to the CA's from a couple of the others. I would like to check my TransUnion and Equifax to see if they are the same as this Experian entry. But I don't want to let go of the $40 to do that. It's just odd that the accounts would say $0 balance and would have been updated just a couple of weeks ago. Maybe this was just my lucky day or something. I sure hope so. Somehow though I don't think things normally play out that way.
credit-nightmare
Well it has me baffled...which I admit , may not take much As for getting your reports to check from TU and EQ . I signed up for a free 30 day trial and receieved my TU report and score from free credit profile .com . It says it was from TU , and a TU site will lead you to it ( or you can just click on the link at the bottom of this site) It doesn't update , atleast not so far for me , but I just signed up a couple days ago ....I think it only shows one report and score for the whole 30 day trial , but its OK. I also went to TU when I first started ( a couple months ago , and put in I was denied credit and got a free report from them online for 30 days ( although it never updated ) so you might be able to go to one of those sites to get your TU report . As for equifax , I have no idea. I called and got my one a year free one sent to me.
