bailey
i just recieved a letter from a collection agency stating i owe them money, (over $9000). i am in the process of sending the DV letter to them this week however i also noticed that on my credit report it is suppose to drop off this month(it will be the full 7 1/2 years). what should i do? the statute of limitations has run out on this( i am in Texas and it is only 4 yrs) and it is about to drop off my credit report. should i just tell them to stick it up there a** or actually go through the process? rommel
I'd send the scumbags a cease and desist letter also, you are far past the SOL and it falls off this month.........It's all biscuits and Gravy for you and this debt my friend....congrats
Jazkal
send them the C&D, also send them a DV letter. Then send off a dispute to the CRA's saying it is past time to fall off.Document everything with CMRRR. If they screw up, there are plenty of lawyers in Texas that will go after them on contengency.Texas has this nice little law that states they have to respond to a dispute within 30 days, or it's a violation. Just another way the CA's break the law.
