Charge Offs, Lates, Judgements Etc... Collectors with their marks on CR?

With a BK7, what if anything will get trumpted and removed? What should I do to get the correction ball rolling?

I have not used a CC in 2 1/2 years, learned my lesson, CC companys with their jacked rates and unsuccessful Debt Solutions Inc program with uncooperative Citibank and Sears (now Citibank) and 25% interest rates on 5 + cards put me behind the eight ball ,stressed me so terribly i quit a 65k job to have time to think.... I just filed,so im curious....

Years of stress im hoping will be over with, and anyone waiting till new law takes effect, you will wish you could turn the clock backwards...

Need to change my pic...benny looks to happy! :D

One quick add on...is any money in my bank(non CC bank ) account in jeopardy of being frozen, taken or anything else?

Bankruptcy is the grandaddy of the negatives ! Don't think anything else can top it. Charge-offs and judgments might come close to equal the impact of a BK.

BK doesn't make anything drop off your reports. All the old accounts will age off at the normal 7-1/2 year limit.

No CA can touch your bank account for ANY reason. If your checking/savings were with a bank you owed money to, they would have a right of set-off that IS allowed by the BK code, they could take money from your accounts to put towards your debt. Since that is not so in your case, you have nothing to worry about. If any CA TRIES, nail them with contempt charges for violating the BK laws.

Now this makes me feel very awkward. According to my bankrupcy attorney, anything that I make after i filed is not part of the deal. Just as you are your own worst enemy if you charge up accounts again after filing a BK, he instructed me that I can get a $100,000 job tomorrow (Filed 7 with no job ) and it wouldnt affect the case. What is on the table is my state of assets filing vs what I was owed. Im still leary about putting deposits in my account when I do get a new job. This may be a bit out of context with the original post, just thought I would add to the discussion.

Thanks My lady
