Is it time for Lexington Law?

I need some input here!

I've made major scores in my credit battle, but it seems that some little snafus are hanging me up.

For example, CAs that won't respond to my DV's, or refuse to remove an item, stating that they are "unable to".

If I have all of the documentation, and am not getting anywhere, would Lexington Law be more successful if I gave them the documentation?

I'm just considering that it might be easier (and more effective) to pay them $39, rather than to sue 5 CAs.

What do you guys think?

If you ask 100 people on this board, 99 are going to call you crazy to contact them.

You can do it all your self by searching this board and asking questions. They have no super powers or secrets to do anything you can't do on your own.

It took you time to get into a credit mess, it takes time to get out. Patience and persistance, and a couple of stamps is all it takes.

No...don't contact Lexington-do it yourself.

Manner,

Have you disputed wtih the CRA's regarding the derog? Hit them with the 1-2 validation punch and you should be good to go. File in federal court and you should be good to go with an easy 1k for continued collection activity and 1k for reporting false information.

If you don't want to do the actual legwork, just find a local consumer atty.

Hi,

Thanks for responding. Believe me, I know the power of the knowledge of this website! I've accomplished great things because of it.

I am just totally floored (and pi**ed) that in retaliation for my success, Equifax contacted several of my good creditors, and requested that they remove several of my accounts.

I told Equifax that I was going for a refi, and that I needed the items cleared up quickly. For no reason, they went nuclear on me, and now I've got to put off my refi, and work to place items back on my credit report, that should never have been removed.

Equifax went so far as to tell Citibank that my wife wanted her name removed from our joint Citibank account.
