I haven't noticed that... My reports have been changing daily as afar as I know.

I'll re-check this tomorrow when my mortgage payment posts,

(The balance goes down just over $200.00 per month so this is an easy way to see when MCK updates...)

Did you hear this from a representative or did you observe this?

Also, I spoke with a representative last week who said that the CRAs only are obligated to update once a month with MCK, however, most update as they get new information.

Now this is confusing...

I had no problem pulling a report dated today. What I did notice was a 30 point FAKO score jump on EXP and a 12 point FAKO jump on EFX but my report was identical to yesterday. The only thing I can think of is that it is the first of the month and maybe some accounts aged into a new bracket.

I just got off the phone with MCK and they said that the credit bureaus will be updating monthly only from now on...

However, have to admit that I have asked three different representatives this question over the last 2 weeks and received three different answers. (I think the Rep's superiors are lying to them and can't keep the lies straight. - I've lived through this and seen this in other companies...)

They did say that they would be doing this SSN monitoring to protect me from Identity Theft. I don't believe this makes any difference. Since the credit bureaus are updating monthly, How the heck would they know if someone starting using my identity and opened a bunch of new accounts until the CRA got around to updating my info at the end of the month (or update cycle?)

We have to consider the business model for this Web Site / Company.

Pulling reports infile costs $2-3 dollars per CRA per request. (They probably negotiated a $1.00 deal with the CRAs so the real cost is $3.00 per month per person.)

They are charging us $10.00 per month. They make 115 % gross profit- barely enough to stay in business.

There is no way they are paying $90.00 ( 3 CRA's per day ($3.00) TIMES 30 days in a month,) for the information that they sell to us for $10.00...

Therefore, Logic tells us that they must be updating the reports monthly.

it says this on the home page after you log in:

To continue providing you with the high level of service you expect, beginning June 1st, CreditKeeper will continue to allow its members to review and print an on-line triple-merged credit bureau report; however, the information contained in the credit bureau report will be updated monthly rather than each time the credit bureau report is reviewed. You will still have unlimited daily access to review these reports. In addition, CreditKeeper will continue to monitor your credit bureau report daily and will notify you of any relevant changes.

I pulled my report thru creditkeeper today and I noticed a small change on the report since yesterday's report. I am assuming that tomorrow's report will be the same as today's though.

Also, I pulled from EQ credit watch gold right afterwards and noticed a soft inquiry from MCK on my report.

This is what the MCK site says after you log in:

"To continue providing you with the high level of service you expect, beginning June 1st, CreditKeeper will continue to allow its members to review and print an on-line triple-merged credit bureau report; however, the information contained in the credit bureau report will be updated monthly rather than each time the credit bureau report is reviewed. If you read carefully, this monitoring service is just puling from one of the CRA's ...So what good is it? as I said before....

I called and cancelled ... be sure to let the rep know WHY. I said I am cancelling because of the change to once-a-month reporting. If this becomes a constant reason for cancellations with MCK and PG, maybe they will return to every day reporting.

I pull a daily report from MCK. I pulled one today that was different than yesterday. If they don't update daily, like they have been doing, then I will cancel too. But no sign of this just yet. should this change (tomorrow) then I wil be sure to cancel.

If you do cancel, be sure to press them for a full refund of any money you shelled out. PG did not want to give back the money, but when I pressed the CSR for a full refund and told her i wanted to speak to a manager, she gave me a full refund.
