Call and cancel your MCK and PG

Everyone who has My Credit Keeper and Privacy Guard should call and cancel their membership, as they have switched to one-a-month reporting.

Be sure to say exactly why you are cancelling your membership ... "because you have changed to once-a-month credit score reporting"

I think if they get enough cancellations with the same reason, they will be inclined to return to offering everyday reporting.

I'm still pulling PG daily....I haven't seen any changes because I just sent out my second round of disputes....

Do the changes mean that even though I pull daily it's still the same copy of the report I got yesterday? Or don't you have that option to order when you log in....

So is MCK just sick of having people pull dailies to remove hard inq?? Was it costing them $$$ -- I'm just curious why they would chance losing the business.... and also wondering if its still worth keeping at all?? Thoughts??

It seems that MCK is still creating soft inquires on the credit reports. I pulled MCK this morning. Then, I went to the Experian site and pulled my report. This is what I found:

Those are all the dates of soft inquires from pulling MCK. If it is putting soft inquires on Experian, I am sure it is doing it for EQ & TU as well.

Agreed. I pulled another fresh MCK report today and it varied from yesterday's scores. I have not experienced this change in policy as of this morning.

Note: b*mpage is still alive and well. The last of 13 recent TU and EQ inquiries disappeared today.

I also just confirmed through Equifax Creditwatch Gold that MCK is still creating soft inquires on my Equifax credit report. MCK shows up as "Q-Space" on my Equifax report.:

I just called and cancelled PG. I told the rep why I was cancelling, and told him four times "just cancel the membership" and he continued to argue with me. I guess they are instructed to make it as difficult as possible for you to cancel....

I just signed up for it, to help with bumpage and to see my scores and the system is down and I cant view anything right now. I called and they said the system is down. Should be up in 1 hour to 24 hours.

MCK still hasn't made this change as far as I can tell.
The announcement that MCK has gone to once-a-month updating is on their homepage. Perhaps they are doing the conversion in groups of accounts. However, my MCK homepage has the June 1 announcement on it that they are going the way of PG and offering daily pulls, but only once-a-month updates.

It's true. I saw the announcement on the MCK homepage just now.

I was able to pull a new report this morning but now I can't even access that. I get this message:

"Invalid Customer Information. Please Contact your Administrator"

What gives with these people?

sooo good to know. I'm going to keep MCK til I can't do soft pulls anymore as well. Until then its still worth something to me. I did it today and noticed a few more points as well from yesterday.

ITS OFFICIAL. Despite my ability to obtain fresh report daily from MCK, my account changed this morning. No longer can I pull a report daily.

I guess they chose to stagger the account changes throughout the week so that the cancellation calls wouldn't all hit them in one day.

I just called to cancel since I could not pull a fresh report this morning. Luckily, I was never even charged for their service. I have EQ Creditwatch Gold and I know how to pull an updated EX report when I need one.

Anyone have any ideas on how to monitor TU reports on a daily basis?

I was under the impression from reading here that they were not going to update daily but you could still pull daily at least giving some limited value for bumpage.

This morning the link for "request new report" doesn't even exist.

I'm cancelling too.

how devious of them !!!

when you call it goes straight to a recording that says "due to overwhelming demand for our service we are unable to answer your call at this time, please try again later"

overwhelming demand ?? or overwhelming amount of angry customers wanting to cancel ?

I sent an email but I know they are gonna say I've got to call to cancel.
