Jaypeetz
I seem to have a problem with a collection agency. I dont know if it is something that is worth going after, but I thought give it a try. I had a college tuition account go to collections. Collections haggled me for years about it. Recently, i spoke to a gentleman over there who told me to pay my account in full and he would delete the tradeline from my credit report. He continously haggled me for days and I finally succumbed to paying it in full only if he deleted my account. I paid it and 4 mos later and my account is still on there showing a balance. I then called the collection agency and the agent that i spoke to is suddenly in the "hospital" and they told me that the account has no notes of it stating to deleting it from my account. Is there anything i can do lawfully? Thank You.

LynnInMN
Call the school and complain to the student accounts manager. Your account should be reflecting a zero balance and if he has pulled this on you, he has pulled it on others. Student accounts may already have wind of this.
