I am disputing BF credit report. I started on 05/09. Only disputing with CRA. The current report says diputed by consumer-reivestigation in progress. Shouldnt they be finished by now if it was disputed on 05/09? I havent disputed with the CA yet. I have the letters typed and ready to go though.

I just thought that the CRA has 30 days to verify or reply otherwise they have to delete? What should I do now?

thanks for info

okay here are the results: they came in today from Equifax

I think I did rather well.

I disputed 8 TL's and an address

4 were deleted and 4 were verified

plus they deleted the address

*these were never disputed with the CA or the OC; this is the first line of dispute with the CRA.*

The thing that p*sses me off (with his and mine) is the fact that the Account histories are 120 past due and they dont charge them off until 2 years later.. Arent they required to charge them off sooner???

One of his accounts shows:

date of last paymt 04/01 but not showing CO until 07/04

Isnt that considered re-Aging?? Is there something I can do about this? Do I need to dispute the OC ? (Crapital One) because the way it reported it will make it not come off until year 2012 7 years plus 180

Yeah but that is between them and the IRS, the CO date doesn't affect you.

Nope, the date that determines when this comes off is the FDOD First Date of Deliquency (that lead to the current charge off.) So it will come off 11/2008.

Technically, they could go for a judgement Past the true SOL if they wait to charge it off -but that is murky... I am not sure of the legality of that tactic. I doubt that is their intention either.

Ok I quit I can't write a decent sentence anymore, that means its time for me to go bed...
