immerse04
In summer 2003 I needed emergency hospital assistance. My bill is almost 4000$.This is written in my consent for admission and treatment."Fin. Agreement: The undersigned agrees, to pay the account of the hospital in accordance with the regular rates and terms of the hospital. I hereby authorize Hospital to apply at its discretion any credit balance wich may show on this account as a result of any payments by my...and all other accounts, for which I may be responsible. Should the account be referred to an attorney for collection, a collection agency, or through a civil action in justice or circiut court, the undersigned shall pay reasonable legal fees and collection expences. ...."My question is: Does this mean that this is a contract between me and the debt collector as well as the creditor? Thanks for any suggestions
GreatGadsby
it means you agreed to pay costs involved in collecting. the CA still has to prove that they're the ones actually retained by the hospital to collect for you account, adn how they arrived at the balance, etc.....
