get A·non·y·mous
I went into default with my student loans from Citibank a couple of years ago and my loan was purchased by NYS HESC where I am now about to rehabilitate the loan. HESC will remove any reference to default, but the original negatives Citibank are still on my credit reports. Do I have rights in demanding that Citibank remove their reference because the loan is now rehabiltated? Who should I contact first, the CRAs or Citibank or both? 8)
Methuss
I would dispute it with the CRAs as duplicate entries. If Citi sold it, then the paperwork is likely no longer in their posession and they have nothing as strict proof.
