kareran
I sent my DV letter to the CA about 2 weeks ago. I know they received it because I sent it CMRRR. Anyway I stated in the letter that I wanted all future correspondence to be through the USPS. They are still calling my home. Is this a violation? They told me in a recent letter that they have filed suit against me already and they are waiting for me to "tell them of my intentions". Do I just talk to them on the phone? What do I tell them? Or should I wait for the reponse from the DV letter? I'd appreciate any advice from anyone! Thanks!
ghacorp
It's hard to say if it is a violation given they probably filed suit prior to your request. On the next call inform the agency you will answer the complaint and they are not to call you again! Generally calls cease once the matter is pending for the courts. I would recommend filing a counterclaim on the Answer for violating a no contact order. If you need to verify their claim to have filed suit against you contact your local courthouse.
