simplysilky
I'm trying to qualify for a mortgage. I have a credit card that need to be taken care of before getting this mortgage. Could I still get a mortgage if I contacted the CA and make payment arrangements? This way the lender will see that I'm making an effort to pay them off in order to get a mortgage? Or should I try to dispute them?CAPITAL ONE BANKGLEN ALLEN, VABALANCE: $5798DATE UPDATED: 6/05 (Unusual)HIGH BALANCE: $4496PAY STATUS: CHARGED OFF AS BAD DEBTDATE OPENED: 7/01DATE CLOSED: 7/02ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CREDIT GRANTORSTRESSED........ firstsource
My suggestion would be to leave it alone at this point. Most non-conforming lenders will not have you pay on it, and if you do chances are your credit scores will go down, as the Date of Last Activity (DLA) will become more current. Don't stress now, just get your self approved for a home and then go looking. Charles
