wvfireman1634
I have been hearing lately(not on this site) there are very few FCRA violations that a consumer can sue for. Most violations must be prosecuted from federal and state agencies. I've read the FCRA over and over and it can be interpreted both ways(I can sue, I can't sue). Does anyone know for sure what violations an individual can sue for, and if possible, tell me where I may find proof that I can sue.
codename_fortyseven
Depends on if you are going to sue the CRA or Ca. Reporting inaccurate info and failing to do an investigation seem to be the top two complaints.
wvfireman1634
suing for not listing as disputed, failure to do an investigation, and willfull non compliance. All against a collection agency
codename_fortyseven
The investigation part is mainly on the CRA's to investigate a TL. Not listing it as disputed is a FCRA violation. I am willing to bet you probably have a false or misleading representation claim in there as well.

codename_fortyseven
FDCPA governs false or misleading representations. Use both of these weapons.
