I have never sued anyone before and I was wondering if someone here on the boards could help me or send me to a link where I can get a pretty good idea of what I need to do. One of my options is to order the ebook off of theis website on how to sue the CAs but I'm not sure if it has everything I need. I did download the book, but my husband doesn't want me to use up 100 pages & ink to print it out yet. But I have a sneaking suspicion that most of the info is already on this board. Some say to sue in federal (but I can't figure out where to file), some say to sue in State, and fewer are saying to sue in Small Claims Court. They say the judges and clerks there are very clueless about consumer law so don't chance it. As far as going Pro Se, you can go to your county legal library (mine is at the Courthouse) and get copies of a similar suit there, bring it home and use the legal template in WORD to write your own lawsuit. If all that is just too overwhelming, contact this new lawfirm that is expanding and see if they will take your case: http://www.consumercounselgroup.com/Or, find lawyers in your own area versed in consumer law. You can usually find one by calling the State Bar Lawyer Referral Service. Maybe you can get some advice from them on where to file, etc. and take it from there. They usually don't want to get involved unless there are a lot of damages, like you were denied credit. More $ for them. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do and how it turns out!
