jeninmi
I want to get lates removed from my experian. these lates do not show up on equifax or transunion. can i send with my dispute copies of my credit reports from the other two as proof? another question is i want capitol one to send my proof of an account i had with them because i am pretty sure their records on me are mostly wrong. what type of letter can i write to make them give me this info? and if they cant or wont provide doesnt that mean they have to delete? IHateCAs
I want to get lates removed from my experian. these lates do not show up on equifax or transunion. can i send with my dispute copies of my credit reports from the other two as proof? You can, but it won't work. I'd be very careful here, because if the lates don't show on two of your reports, trying to attack the lates on your third report could end up with them updating lates to all three.another question is i want capitol one to send my proof of an account i had with them because i am pretty sure their records on me are mostly wrong. what type of letter can i write to make them give me this info? A subpoena. You can try a few different things. You could call and act all nice and confused then ask the CSR to send you a copy of whatever it is you need. If that doesn't work, do the same thing through the mail.and if they cant or wont provide doesnt that mean they have to delete? If the CSR tells you on the phone they don't have any information for you, that'd be a good sign you can get it deleted. If a CSR tells you that, get it in writing before you dispute.

IHateCAs
thanksActually let me clarify something I said.If you call and they say something like "they don't have that on file or whatever, that's a GOOD THING. Don't provide them with any additional information!!"You can initiate a dispute to the CRAs based on the fact you know their records are lacking.
