ggluvbug
i had an account verified by transunion so i asked for transunion to explain how it was verified. now i get a letter saying that they do not provide dispute verification responses received from creditors, and that if i want that info, i need to contact the creditor directly. am i not understanding this process correctly? don't they have to prove that they verified it? codename_fortyseven
More TU willful non-compliance. The FCRA says the DO have to provide a description of the procedures they used to verify the account. Saying they aren't available or contact the creditor ain't it. ggluvbug
so, what should my next step be? so far, i have been pretty successful and i haven't had to do much of the "if, then" stuff.
codename_fortyseven
I would request 3x the procedures they used to verify the TL then sue for willful non-compliance.
Darkcloud66
codename_fortyseven,I would request 3x the procedures they used to verify the TL then sue for willful non-compliance. I am having the same problem with Equifax. Can you explain the 3x procedure and what it is?I understand the ITS for willful non-compliance, do remember what section(s) of the FCRA willful non-compliance is under? Thanks!
