Lisa71
I thought this was interesting, my scores are lower now .Only differences are my account marked as in dispute and .....you won't believe (those of you that have tried to help me with my burned down car situation) It is off of my Equifax report, hope it stays that way---this explains that drop. DocDon
Believe it or not, losing a tradeline, even if its negative may cause a drop in score because of the loss of history. Also, it seems that when negative information is verified by the CRA's, FICO calculates the "reported as of" dispute result date as a 'current negative'. Meaning there was a change in your report, and it's negative.FICO is a strange, stupid beast...Used to be when you disputed with EQ, the dispute items were not used to determine creditworthiness while the dispute was in progress - they've since changed that, so I think the other two opinions would apply. Lisa71
Ah, TU didn't change the date on the report but they held it against my rating, JERKS! I disputed with them on 3 TL's twice the first time I didn't know what I was doing, just disputed. Second time I sent the DV letter to the CA - which has not been answered and they have still verified, so I know they are in violation.I am ok with the reduction from the removal of the GMC account, hope it stays gone. onlybrad
FICO scoring system does not encourage disputing items on your credit report. They are against it so of course they are going to lower your credit score...Welcome to Greed! The lower your score the more money lenders charge you for loans and the more money they both make and you pay for both...That sounds like a plan of a company trying to make a profit to me! Why do you think they won't release the credit scoring system? It would make people very mad! Thanks,Brad
