tadmartin223
I have been with Orchard for almost 2 yrs. I called them for a CLI and they gave me $200, bringing my total CL to $900! Even though they charged me $30 for the increase, it still makes my util look a little better. They also said that "since I have been such a wonderful customer with excellent payment history, I will be eligible for another CLI in 24 hrs..." Should I go for it????I just hope that my score goes up once the CLI takes place.
pjwife27
congrats! They gave me 1 w/out asking and I haven't had one since. I refuse to pay for an increase though. I wouldn't pay for another increase, but of course thats up to you. I thinks its crap they charge for that kind of stuff.
tadmartin223
They gave me 2 without me asking. I started out with $300 then to $500 then to $700. I paid for the $900 because I requested it. I'm trying to have a higher credit limit for my reports. The higher the limit, the better.Hey, I agree, you shouldn't have to pay for things that should come because you are a good customer, but when you're in Sub-Primeville, you have to deal with nonsense like that. I'm waiting on BOA to tell me that I'm approved (cross my fingers) and Citi PP.
tammi
Did they do a hard or soft inquiry when you asked for the increase?
tadmartin223
You know.....I have no idea. I do know when you do their little "see which card fits you the best" thingy, it's a soft inquiry on EXP, but HSBC pulls EQ when it comes time to approve you for a card.... What I'm trying to do it change over to one of HSBC's more prime cards. I was pre-approved for 3 of them, but, I'm assuming it was a soft, because I already have an account with them. I would have to pull a recent copy of TU and EQ to find out (Experian lets you pull your report free daily, as long as you keep the report #).
