Methuss
Dispute status cannot be perpetual. Once you dispute with either the CRA or the furnisher they are required to investigate and resolve disputed issues of fact within 30 days... or delete. That stunt about putting your dispute int he comment section and leaving it there forever is not the way the FTC says they must do things.Second, if your last payment to the collector was on 6/05, they are failing to report the payment on the account. Essentially this makes the account look like you have made no payments since 12/04. That's false reporting if you can show that Citi actually got the payments passed on by NCO. Somehow I think NCO pocketed all of it and never turned any over to Citi. You need to write to Citi and ask them if they have received any forwarded payments from NCO. (NO PHONE CALLS) If they respond that they have gotten payments, whack them for false reporting. If they have not gotten the payments, whack NCO for commercial fraud and extortion. Flykast
This letter to Citi Should it just read:My Name AddressAccount # To: Billing Department,I am enquiring when last payment was made on this account. You have 30 days to repond to my resquest . My NameSend this by CMRRI am wondering if keeping this short and sweet like this will provided a much shoter rope to hang them selves on. This way they don"t call NCO and ask for payment? Then we could go right after NCO. Or they admit by letter that they have recieved payment. And then we would have proof they are not reporting to the CRA acuratley.
