Feel violated
Wondering if anyone has had any luck complaining about CA ethicswith the ACA---The association of credit and collection professionals. An industry trade group who have some pull with its members on ethical matters. From what I can see, some members have been temporarily suspended but thats about the limit of the teeth. But interested in any comments and experiences of any who have gone that route of complaining to ACA. On the bright side it does not cost me much.Just postage. Recovering Attorney
I used it. In my case, the ACA shielded its member. But being a member of the ACA is very crucial to any ambitious or largescale operation. So any criticism stings, and if the complaints mount it could affect the company's membership, which would affect the bottom line. So, if you think you have a legitimate beef, complain away! Feel violated
Thanks Recovering for the responce. It may not help but I will complain away.Keep that JDB CA hopping anyway and see if it yields new information.thanks.
Methuss
Kind of like reporting the suicide bomber to the terrorist ringleader doncha think?ACA are a bunch of dunder-heads anyways. The number of times a CA breaks the law then says "we're operating within industry standards" shows how little ACA really does to educate their membership. NefertitiX
Yep, I did and like in Recovering's case, they were biased towards their member.
Feel violated
Still on bubble here. Got their ACA complaint form and a 14 day deadline--half of which was consumed by getting complaint form to me.Will give CA no new information, may get new information from investigation, will take about two hours to print using existing letters, and cost about a buck fifty in postage. Fifty cents to print.--got cheap printing.Question---even givin investigation is a sham rubber stamp, what do I have to lose? And what does investigated party have to lose?Always nature of gamble.
