CRIBO
Hey everyone ,I DV'd a collection agency and they sent me all the information needed to verify but failed to give me their License info for the state of Illinois. They are in Las Vegas and they are collecting a debt for a Doctors office. So, I sent them a response stating they did not completely verify and they needed to provide me with their License Info. and that they now had 10 days left to verify! Now before they sent me the info the CRA sent me a letter stating they had verified with this company and the account is changed to PAID IN FULL. Now I did not pay them a dime. Here's my question,1. Should I leave it alone or ?2. Should I contact the CRA and dispute again?
Robert Nashville/Savannah
Unless there is something here you've left out I think at this point I'd leave it alone and count my blessings.HOWEVER...don't ever let go of that letter that says the debt is paid in full because I'd almost bet that six months or a year or two from now, some CA will be calling again trying to get you to pay the debt. CRIBO
Thank!s I will make sure I keep a copy. I definetly know what you mean. I Paid As Agreed w/Bank of America 8 years ago when I lived in California and now that I am in Illinois they are trying to collect on the rest of the debt since I made a settlement with them. The SOL in Illinois is 10 years, I think! Anyways thanks for the advice! I will count my blessings!
