chicksr
In New Jersey I was told that if you have a lien on your property you can not file for BK if has been more than 90 days after the lien was issued. Is this true?If I file can I keep my car and home?
Methuss
Nope. BK law has no such exception. The whole point of filing BK is to redress such issues. There is a process after BK to get the lien removed, but it certainly doesn't prevent you from filing.
