Robert Nashville/Savannah Posted August 24, 2005 Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 Whether or not such an inquiry willl reflect as a "soft" or "hard" inquiry I don't know.However, I would suggest that in most cases, both the original creditor and/or their collector does have a legal right/permissible purpose to retrieve a debtor's information if it's a legitimate part of their collection efforts.
