quanxavier
I have a default judgement of $5K placed on me back in 1997 and had my wages garnished in 2003. I left that company and the garnishment stopped. I received notice that another default judgement had been filed. The court judgement dropped off my credit report in 2004. I've put a contract on a house. I'm supposed to close on the house in 12/05. Can I still close on the house if my paycheck shows that I'm being garnished? Will the closing attorney/titling company check for any judgements against me?
firstsource
It will probably not prevent you from getting a home loan, but the amount that is taken out will be deducted from your earnings when the lender figures out the Debt to Income ratio for you.Charles
