ericasf
I had a judgment from forever ago that I just finished paying off. They posted on my credit report that it has been paid but when they did that, they created another public document to do it so now I have the original record on my account and then another record stating that it has been paid. Shouldn't they have just changed the status of the original one and so I would just have the one on my report?
ericasf
I disputed this via Experian online and they removed the wrong one!!!!!!! They removed the 'paid' one but left the one that was not vacated!!! And it won't let me dispute it. I am so tired of the bureaus blocking me from disputing online. Should I contact the OC and tell them that it is not being reported correctly? (sidenote, original collector was Wolpoff.........)
DocDon
Yes. It's an update, not a brand new entry. Dispute.
edubb007
Now dispute the remaining as "PAID"
ericasf
Yeah, did that. I also contacted the CA to ask them very nicely to help out in correcting the mistake as I am sure they won't but it's worth a shot.
TheLookingGlass
Can Paid Judgements be Vacated?
edubb007
Paid judgements cannot be vacated as they are paid and finalized. Good luck with the CA! Wait to see what happens then post the info. You might get lucky!Did you get your results back from when you disputed the remaining judgement as paid?
