beeboah
Hi,Would it do any good to complain to the FTC, BBB or State Attorney regarding Midlands refusal to DV?I would like to sue Midland, but would like to build up as much subtantiation before I do.Thanks
Xanathos
I never get why people want to talk to the BBB. They are an entity that has NO AUTHORITY regarding ANYTHING. They do NOTHING other than compile complaints. A complaint to the BBB isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
beeboah
ok, what about the FTC and the attorney general?
spiagia
FTC will send you some crappy brochure, but if enough complains about a company, they will lauch an investigation. Good news though......Midland deleted for me!
TheLookingGlass
... BBB... do NOTHING other than compile complaints...I agree with Xanathos about the function of the BBB, however, their records can be made availible to more powerful organizations (i.e. FTC, AG, State Court, ....)The process that you are using is based on you complaining about being done wrong. If there is an entity that will take your complaint and give you proof that you complained then use it. The proof can be used as part of your evidience when negotiating or suing. miracle
Even though the BBB isn't worth much, I would try to raise a stink wherever I could so I would probalby still keep them on the list. However, I would make it a priority to notify the FTC everytime a CA or CRA violates because eventually, with enough complains, action can be taken. It has already happened with a CA..
