I guess it is mostly collections

Pulled my wifes credit recently and there is a couple of medical collections from 2001 and a fee from some movie place in 2000?? I was just going to pay them to get them off of there but I got to reading and I am thinking that that are/almost past the SOL so I can just write to them and have them removed?
