I believe they do sometimes because the CRAs in certain instances suppress the TL while the dispute process takes its course. Then, if its verified, they allow the TL to show up again, thus knocking your score back down again. Not sure if there are any more reasons as to why a score drops during disputes, but if there are, someone on here will let you know.

It is true. Your score will go up during dispute and drop if the TL's aren't updated to positive status. I checked my score with EQ and it was at 758 during dispute and then after dispute it went down to 699.

I was a little disappointed it went down. I like the look of 758.
