Peridot827
Does anyone have experience with QuikTrip? I was recently denied for their (gas) credit card. What is the lowest score they'll approve?
Anonymous
QuikTrip is actually UMB Bank. Nothing in MarvBear's database as far as history goes. What did their denial letter state as reasons, which CRA was used, your present score, etc.
Peridot827
I haven't received letter yet -- I'll let you know. I'm interested because I'd heard this was a pretty easy card to get, and I'd heard that it was through UMB bank. We'll see, then. Thanks!
Peridot827
Okay -- so today I did receive my "decline" letter from QuikTrip. They use UMB (United Bank of Missouri) and pulled TU, which I THOUGHT was my strongest credit file. Anyway, they listed the following reasons for my denial:-- Lack of sufficient financial institution references-- Unsatisfactory credit experience with other creditors-- Unacceptable past credit history-- Unacceptable credit referencesHuh? A couple of those I can understand but others -- what the heck??!!Oh well. They are other cards to conquer. I'll try them again in a year or so. Onward! Anonymous
Okay -- so today I did receive my "decline" letter from QuikTrip. They use UMB (United Bank of Missouri) and pulled TU, which I THOUGHT was my strongest credit file. Anyway, they listed the following reasons for my denial:-- Lack of sufficient financial institution referencesSounds like lack of open TL's-- Unsatisfactory credit experience with other creditorsSounds like a few lates-- Unacceptable past credit historychargeoffs, collections or judgements?-- Unacceptable credit referencesTakes the last two into combinationHuh? A couple of those I can understand but others -- what the heck??!!Oh well. They are other cards to conquer. I'll try them again in a year or so. Onward! Did you bounce any cheques in the past couple of years, regardless if you made good on them or not? what's your TU FICO?
Peridot827
Grim -You seemed to have everything on the head in your reply to my post!-- No, I don't have any open revolving TLs (well, Target, but I just got that this week)-- Yes, I have some charge-offs (ALL 3 PAID, though not all of them are showing so yet. Guess I'll need to start disputing to have them removed.)-- Yes, I have two PAID COLLECTIONS for bounced checks from '02. EQ just removed one yesterday and I'm working to have them both removed from TU an EX as well. So, yeah, that does explain it. But I will try them again, once I clear up those items. I think QT will be a great card to rebuild. Thanks for your post!Stacey
Anonymous
For a gas card they sure are sticklers, that QT.I see you're in Atlanta, you have Chevron or Texaco near you? You might look into Chevron. With the paid CO's and paid collections you should at least be offered the rebuilder card for $30 with a $300 limit.
