chadwick37
On my Experian report dated November 2, 2005 is a CA claiming I owe $348.00I've written a DV and was planning to send it out CMRRR today. Before I did I went on line to dispute the item with Experian. However, this CA account is not listed anywhere in my online credit report so I can't dispute it. Now I know that this account is for an unpaid cell phone and it is well over 3 years old so I'm past the SoL.Is it possible that this CA account has dropped off my CR? Should I just wait and see if it reappears before sending the DV so I don't risk opening a can of worms? I'm so new at this stuff that I don't really understand how it all works yet. Any advice would be appreciated.
Robert Nashville/Savannah
If you are responding to a direct communication from the CA then I'd continue the Dispute/DV process. If, however, your only reason for requesting validation was the CAs listing on your credit report (which is no longer there) then I would probably do nothing for now and keep close tabas on your report.
