Kennedy
A friend of mine has asked me to negotiate with CitiBank regarding 3 accounts averaging about 17K each. She received a letter last week offering a "final opportunity" to remit payment, or it will be turned over to a rep. to review for litigation. She is willing to pay 50% of the amount for all 3 accounts to settle everything (no monthly payments, just paying completely off) How do I go about negotiating with them, having this percentage in mind. sifxpert
Whats the hardship? Do they have assets? What about other accounts on credit report? Does this person have other current trade lines specifically credit cards? Citi really looks to see what you have available and relies on your credit report to jusge if you are a candidate for b/k. If you are current on a bmw payment and have several other credit cards that you are current on forget it.
