Hi! I got a secured gold card through First Premier Bank about 3 years ago..have paid on it faithfully for those 3 years and i believe it has really helped my credit. This year, most of my old CA accounts have fallen off because it's been 7 years etc and I am wanting to get rid of this card. I remember hearing somewhere on here before that closing a secured credit card account can really be bad for your credit. I Just got married and we are trying to eliminate as much of our little debts as possible. Any advice on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

No I said DON'T close none of your accounts. Just try to get an unsecured credit card. But don't close your secured account. You never want to close any good accounts. It will impact your credit score. We'll it sounds like you got pretty good credit if you were able to get $4g worth of furniture.
