Providian....combine cards/limits

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this would be considered the same thing, but I recently tried to switch my regular WaMu/Providian cards to one of their affinity products, and was told they don't do that. I had to apply for the second one if I wanted it. Seems there's a difference in how the two are administered, and have different procedures and qualifications etc.

Any card that has a "relationship" to an organization etc. not owned by the CC company is an affinity card. It's issued by the CC company, but it's separate because it usually has rewards or other programs unique to the organization.
