still having problems with oc

I had a credit card through bank of america, it defaulted and went to a collection agency, they ended up getting a judgement before i knew what had even happen. i paid the debt off to the ca and recieved a letter stating that. judgement shows satisfied on credit report but under bank of america. they say i still owe $1601.00 and a past due amount of $1598.00. i dont know if that from intrest or what but this account should be clean and its labled charge off. anyway it looks like this.

oh and by the way i just found out that the collection agency as had his license suspended but for what i dont know.

Did you go through the dispute/debt validation process?

If so, and if the CA had the legal authority to collect the debt on behalf of Bank of America, then you sould be able to get BoA to at least correct the entry (if you don't own them any money then they have no business showing a balance owed).

Obviously, however, you may have to fight hard to make it happen.
