Can JDB pull credit????

They might. You need to DV them to determine if they have a legal right to collect. If they can prove they do-then they can do whatever they want to try to collect. Remember that SOL doesnt mean that they can stop collection activities-they can do that forever. What it means is that they cannot FORCE you to pay by getting a judgement against you to do so.

Following the DV process allows you to start building a paper trail to show them that you know your rights and you know the law. What tends to happen during this process is that they will violate the law. By building your paper trail you are building a case against them for the violations. But you must follow the law as well. Generally, once the DV process is started-they will just go away.

The SOL is NOT a bar to pulling your credit. It is only a defense if you are sued on an out of statute debt. If the JDB has your account, they have permissable purpose to pull your credit file. Unless state law prohibits them from collecting in your state, they're not doing anything illegal.
