ageofkaos
I just called Experian after I recieved a letter stating that 2 of my 3 negative items were verified and updated. I asked for the method of verification on those two items and the lady said that they verified through some process and when I asked her for the Original Creditor's number, she said she doesn't have that info. She said I should call Collection Agency. What's next?
Methuss
Send your MoV request in writing, certified. Although your request for MoV doesn't have to be in writing under the law, it is the only way to prove that you asked for it and that they got the request.Make sure your letter includes: "This is not a request for a new investigation but a request for the method used to verify this account as accurate including the name, address, and telephone number of the person contacted that verified the account. Per section 611a(11) of the FCRA you have 15 days to comply with this request."
