jasen
They're allowed to do soft pulls. Are you sure that they're doing hard pulls that everyone can see, and impact your credit score? Then you would have a complaint.
Determined1
I have multiple hard pulls by NCO.
Heatherette
A couple years ago MBNA was pulling hard reports 3-4 times a month while i was in default. I called them and explained that they had pulled my CR 18 times in 3-4 months. The representative I spoke to on the phone easly deleted them ALL. I think she understood how big of an OOPS they made. Thankfully it was painless to resolve.
momof5
It's called credit report poisoning if they are pulling Hards. Last I knew, NCO pulls softs which are harmless. It is an attempt to confirm that an account they have and are going to place there belongs to you, that you have the resources to pay, etc..... Determined1
So a CA can't make a hard inquiry if they have an account on you?
momof5
IF they believe that you are the person that belongs to that account, then they have a PP. When you prove it is not yours or they cannot prove it IS yours, you can force deletion of the TL and the INQs.
