It probably isn't required for a CC to show you a signed agreement. Most have a "...you agree by using this..." kind of clause in their terms and conditions which get mailed to you with the card. Today, when its possible to get a card online, most courts have found this acceptable.

As to what they would settle for if they do have "some" proof this account is yours...the answer is...it depends. How much? How late? Who? How long have you had the account? Do you care if your CRs are trashed?
