Mr. Levitow
Had an account from RMA for an unknown collection years ago. Had no idea what it was from so I DV'd (naturally). They couldn't verify and deleted. Now, many years later in a galaxy far far away, NCO pops up with it. Sent a DV to them and I got a letter today saying the account has been sent back to Hollywood (Hollywood! WTF?) and they are deleting from the CR's. This was good I guess but this crap gets more weird as time goes on. Hollywood...still trying to figure that out.

PeteDude
I too, was surprised how quickly NCO responded and cooperated to removing inquiries from my TU record. I think they've been getting litigation-shy after being beaten up a lot lately.
tryingtodigout
IMO, NCO only goes after those they can get easy default judgements from. If you put up any kind of fight or show you have some clue, they fold and run.
lyle7289
Hollywood Video?Did you have late fee they were trying to collect?
Mr. Levitow
Ah-ha, Hollywood video...that could (might, maybe) be it. However, the last account I had with Hollywood video was in 2001. That could be it though...you know how the dates posted by CA and the CRA are always...err, not right on target. NCO did provide an address though so I think I'll send a letter to the OC. However, on the letter it only says Hollywood for the OC...that still has me weirded out...those actors can be greedy little bastards.
