Husband filed BK, what is that going to do to my credit

You are protected by the automatic stay that is in affect during the term of the bk.

If the payback is 100% on those accounts, you have no liability. If the payback is less than that, once the bk is discharged, they can come after you for the balance.

As long as the accounts are paid thru the Ch 13, they should leave YOU alone. However, if no claims were made, meaning they're not getting paid, then they most likely will come after you for payment.

IF his bankruptcy shows up on YOUR reports, you can dispute it as you are not the one who filed.

Today when I mentioned to DH that I was sending the CRA's and Countrywide mortgage a verification letter so that I could try to get Countrywide off my reports..........he turned blue and I thought he was going to throw up.

He signed my name to the mortgage paperwork.......without my knowledge...Go figure

With a husband like him.......what have I got to fear from OC's and CA's
