lindsay135
Can I have some opinions on this? I have read in th sexy book that after you recieve your "verified" accounts to not bother the CRAs for 60 days or so, but also, I have read to stay persistant and stay with them and dispute them right after......so whats the opinion? Whats worked for you?
justaguy
There is not a hard answer, but if you turn around and dispute too fast they will stick a frivolous tag on you.
lindsay135
I knew there would be opinions. What happens when the "stick a frivolous tag on you" Is your disputes throw out? Or are you black listed so when you write they are kind of like oh she writes in all the time just send her a form letter?
VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
It means that your dispute won't get investigated. The FCRA gives CRAs the right to do so. This can happen if you continuously dispute a TL using the same reason (i.e. "not mine"). Yes, be persistent, but not w/ disputing. "Be persistent" as in never giving up and sticking your guns to the furnisher in other ways (i.e. disputing directly w/ the furnisher, DV, filing complaints). lindsay135
I see what you mean. But when you get your "proof" so to speak, then send it to the CRAs so it seems like your not "bothering" them?
VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
You can, but they won't take your word for it; they'll just start a new investigation. (Hey, @ least they'll investigate & not label your dispute "frivolous", right?) If you have such "proof", you may want to get @ the OC for reporting inaccurate information. lindsay135
Funny you said that because I just had that happen to me. A CA wrote me a letter saying that they were going to have it deleted from the CRAs. So, I took my little vicotry letter, copied it and smiled all the way to the mail box. About 2 weeks later I got a letter from TU saying bascially nice letter, but we want to see if its REALLY true. Im like whatever:roll: . Then 2 days later I get another CR from them saying its deleted.....what a bunch of buttheads:?
