Crazy scores

Recommended Posts

I watch my scores DAILY and on July 29th two inquiries were suddenly gone. My Experian score went up by 9 points. The others stayed the same. All payments on time and even so, we are talking about a three day span with NO changes or charges. Today I checked it and another inquiry dropped off and my Experian went BACK DOWN 5 points, and the other two increased by 6 points. Wha????????

Those scores are prob. True Credit Fako scores and will move up and down daily. I check them as well daliy and mine do the same thing. I once had a about a 15 point jump and thought that it would translate to my FICO scores, WRONG. My FICO scores did not budge and I was out $33.85....Dont let it get the best of you. Just hang on for the ride...;)

Lyle

Interesting. I'd sure like to see how that is all calculated. It seems more like a spin of thewheel or a dart thrwo that anything mathematical. If no condition changes, then it would seem the score shouldn't change. Oh well. I'll just keep on keepin' on. Thanks

It sounds like the inquiries have started "bumping"...

No, they are simply reaching the two year mark. I have pulled my TC every day since i signed up and the "thing" you speak of has never happened. When I got my hard copy, WOW, three pages of soft pulls. I still don't see how soft pulls affect hard pulls. They are clearly kept track of seperately.

It works!!! (B*)

I am watching them drop daily....It does take awhile though. It doesnt work with Experian, only TU and EQ.....

There are soooooo many threads on this very subject. I have read some that date back to '04.

As far as your original post about your FAKO scores, your guess is as good as anyone elses. You would be better off trying to figure out a cure for Cancer than try to figure out why FAKO's are different than FICO's....It is, and will always be, a mystery....xheadscratchx

Beat of luck to you,

Lyle

this is what made it sound like it was "b". You said it was "suddenly gone", but in another post you said they aged off.

Actually I am not talking about the FAKO/FICO difference. I am talking about my DAILY pulls through TrueCredit. The scores bounced and dropped with no change in the accounts. Strange.

TL's do age, whether there are any changes or not, which means there could be changes to your score. Once again, don't put a lot of energy into trying to figure FAKO scores, or for that matter, FICO's. I had a BK age off our reports in June. Didn't change TC FAKO or FICO...:dunno:

Ok let's go back to the beginning...

I am speaking of the MIDDLE score

7/29 - 632,642,617

7/30 - 632,651,617 (two aged inquiries dropped off)

8/1 - 641,646,62? (one more aged inquiry dropped off *note DROP in score)

It went something like that. The aged inquiries came off the middle score only, yet it went DOWN when the third one dropped off.

Heres an example of how utterly crazy this whole process is sometimes..

Experian..

I had 3 paid collections left on my report....

One for $145 that was just reported a few months ago, came of my report 10 days ago, without me disputing it. My score jumped 68 points.

I disputed the other 2 on Tuesday, one for $61 and one for $41. I just checked my TC and the $41 CO is deleted and my score went down 76 points.

It is frustrating, but I know in the long run, I am glad to have those off my reports, no matter what it did to my score.
