Looking for NC statutes

Recommended Posts

Yes,, here in NC they must be licensed.. however an attorney from any state does not have to be.. the NC Department of Insurance is the one with the most recent list.., which is update quarterly... the AG's office wouldnt have that listed on their website.. here is the most recent list for the DOI.. however keep in mind whoever you are trying to find MAY not be there.. I had that happen twice.. where someone got a permit and was not listed on the new quarterly report..

Thank you, but I've already got the list. What I'm looking for is the statute or statutes stating that a collection agency must be licensed. I've not had to deal with an attorney yet, just CAs. I'd just like to be able to throw in the old "according to North Carolina statute blahblahblah . . . " 'cause it's so "gotcha!"
