Why do they want my tax returns?

i'd tell them you dont have them handy, but they can call the irs and ask for them if they need them.....

but really, unless there is something you did wrong, there is not a thing in them they can do with them. its just a way to scare you. tell them you'll show yours if they show you theirs...lol

If this was in a Production of Documents request, respond with Objection. Not relevant, confidential, unduly burdensome, and unlikely to lead to discoverable evidence. Check your state RCP's for anything more to this type of objection as there may be other terms that need to be used in objecting to this type of document asked for in discovery. IMHO, they are trying to establish you as a vexatious litigant and want to see if you have sued and won from others on these same grounds.
