justaguy Posted August 3, 2006 Report Share Posted August 3, 2006 The 30 day timeframe is when they send you the original letter that says we have this debt and are trying to collect on it, if you don't reply in 30 days or less we will assume this debt to be valid. Lot's of CAs buy these debts in bulk and then they have to sort them by priority and risk to decide which ones to go after. Maybe you are small potatoes to them, maybe they just haven't got to you yet. It could be a number of things, but yes, you can DV them to get it off your report.
