Can you sue for an exempt garnishment?

Recommended Posts

My bank account was frozen by a judgement creditor even though I had previously exempted the funds in court. I went to court again to contest the garnishment and the judge agreed that the funds were exempt and released them. The funds were unfrozen a week later, but my bank charged me $100 for the garnishment fee. Can I sue the judgement creditor for the $100 and for the funds that were illegally frozen since I didn't have access to them for months?
