Greg
I recently sent a dispute to EQ and rec'd back a request to provide them with more personal information. Specifically, they want for ID a copy of my Social security card, pay stub with social, or W2. And, for proof of address, DL, Rental Agreement/House Deed, Pay stub with address, or utility bill. I am reluctant to provide this info. TU and EX responded without this info. How should I proceed? Thanks,Greg

Ahntara
EQ is trying to confirm your identity. This is normal and customary.Do you want them to proceed with your dispute?"...EX and TU responded without this info..."The CRA's are three separate businesses. You have to deal with each one individually. Actually this little tidbit makes me nervous and should make you angry. If you sent no proof of your identity, how do EX and TU know they were actually dealing with you?
Greg
Thanks, and yes I want them to proceed, I am just untrusting of EQ and sending them this info will give them more than I believe they need. They sent me a copy of my CR without requesting this addtional info.
Greg
I guess I feel that this is either a stall tactic/trying to get out of cooperating or possibly a fishing expedition for more of my personal information on the part of EQ.
