Gandolf
I know it might sound trite to some of the more seasoned members here, but I still wanted to make this post to give a little pick me up to those feeling frustrated. I had perfect credit my whole adult life until recently I had one 30 day late on a department store credit card (I simply forgot to pay it on time) and also a Collection account which was legally legit although from a moral standpoint I don't feel I owed the money(I stopped paying because the building management company didn't provide us proper heating in the building and they sent it to collections). Both of these appeared on all 3 of my credit reports. After sending in a dispute about each item to each of the big 3 my results are:EQ: Removed 30day late but verified collection accountEX: Removed collection account but verified 30day lateTU: Removed both 30day late and collection accountSo after doing just one round of disputing I have had 4 out of 6 deletions. I am confident that the 30day late will come off easily because I contacted the OC and they agreed to change their files although EX did not comply and remove it. I have a written statement from OC saying the account wasn't late. I'm almost there (perfect credit). I also want to mention that EQ deleted every single inquiry I disputed without a fight. So folks, when all else fails; DISPUTE!

Ravenous Wolf
Congrats...And it is not trite at all to post your success stories here. In fact, the more the better so that people can see that this stuff actually works...
thrillsoft
I think EQ is getting soft. I just called on the phone to kick off my credit repair process and disputed 3 items and some old addresses. I got a letter froom them a week later saying that one of the items was deleted (collection account) and updated my addresses. They did verify one collection account (which I expected). Funny thing is that I told them I had never done business with the company that was listing a collection, but then found in my files that I had signed up for service with them just before moving and forgot to cancel it when I moved. I totally forgot all about the company. Anyway, deleted now.I love EQ so far. I only have 1 baddie on there now and I'm hoping to negotiate a PFD with that company, but it'll be tough. I am going to try sending a MOV next and then I'll probably try calling them on the phone if that doesn't work. I have had, by far, the most luck with EQ and I think the trick is just to be persistent.
