Lisa0825
I decided to switch from MyCreditKeeper to TrueCredit so I can pull the daily reports. On MyCreditKeeper, my scores (dropped just a few points each since the previous report, maybe because of applying for Orchard) are:Equ/Exp/TU 584/602/589My real FICOs from Eq and EX in the past month were 614 and 609.Today, I got my first report from TrueCredit, and my scores are:Equ/Exp/TU545/539/575So, does each service calculate their FAKOs their own way, or is it more likely that my scores dropped since my last MyCreditKeeper report? Has anyone else found that their scores at TrueCredit are quite a bit lower?
direred
Yep, each service calculates their FAKOs a different way. The only one that's useful is the Experian PLUS score, which is used by some stores (such as Macy's). Those that use it are a hard pull on EX, though. Lisa0825
Thanks. I think I will keep both services a couple months and compare the reports before I drop MyCreditKeeper. It's nice to know it's just a difference in calculations, and not that something just dropped my scores that much!
